How to make a Bikini (plus size or any size)

Many people have said to me this summer (I'm in Brazil now) that they'd like to have those high raised bikinis but can't find in plus size or smaller sizes; I am tall and usually they don't fit me in length so here's a quick tutorial of how to make them without any special machinery.

Como fazer um biquini a mão 

(plus size ou de qualquer tamanho)

Muitas pessoas têm me dito neste verão (estou no Brasil agora) que elas gostariam de ter esses biquínis de cintura alta, mas não encontram em tamanho maiores (plus size) ou tamanhos menores; Eu sou alta e geralmente eles não me vestem bem no comprimento , por isso aqui está um rápido tutorial de como fazê-los sem qualquer equipamento especial.

TUTORIAL:

Material: Bikini fabric, synthetic thread, scissors, permanent markers, papel, old biquini.
Material: Tecido de biquini, linha sintética, tesouras, marcadores permanentes, papel, biquini velhor .

Trace the old bikini in the paper, leaving some space around to allow the sewing.

Trace o biquíni velho no papel, deixando algum espaço ao redor para permitir a costura.

Trace the mold on your fabric using the permanent markets. No they don't bleed.

You have to cut the breast mold 4 times. Two fronts and two for the lining.

Trace o molde no seu tecido usando os marcadores permanentes. Não, eles não sangram. Você tem que cortar o molde do seio 4 vezes. Duas frentes e dois para o forro.

To make it easier I just fold the fabric four times, good side to good side, and cut it at once.

Then hand sew around it. The same way I made the strings.

Para tornar mais fácil eu só dobro o tecido quatro vezes, lado direito com lado direito, e corto-o de uma só vez.

Então é só costurar à mão em torno dele. Do mesmo jeito eu fiz as alças.

And the same process goes for the bottom part.

E o mesmo processo foi usado para a parte de baixo.

The trick is in the back:  if you have a thinner waist like I do cut a V shape on the belt to make it fit better.

O truque é na parte de trás: se você tem uma cintura mais fina como eu, corte uma forma de V no cós para ajustá-lo melhor.

I even sewn a strass on the point the lines cross at the back.

Eu até costurei um strass no ponto de as linhas se cruzam atrás.

And its ready!
